Master’s Message: Happy Thanksgiving

On this great national holiday, I give heartfelt thanks for the family of Freemasonry and the manifold gifts it offers.  The women and men who support this great institution help promote the peace of mutual understanding and productive labor within the hearts of men at work for a better life, one only increasingly true to the designs of the Great Architect of the Universe.

The wives, partners, mothers, sons and daughters, aunts, sisters, girlfriends, brothers, fathers, uncles, grandfathers –the biological and chosen families of Freemasonry– are themselves a wonder and a source of great blessing. The gifts life offers are best when they come from the spirited work of hands joined in love and support, and the community of Federal Lodge No. 1 is indeed blessed with the gifts of amazing families so joined.

I wish for us all many days like this one, full of promise, comfort, and joy in the spirit, full of shared blessings that lessen any hardship or challenge.  Let us today be truly grateful and bask in the joyful noises of prayerful preparations and a hope of things unseen.
