Federal Lodge No. 1

Constituted on September 12, 1793 by James Hoban,
our first Master and the architect of the White House, Federal Lodge is one of the four original founding DC lodges of the the Grand Lodge of Washington DC.

Along with President George Washington, Federal laid the cornerstones for the President’s Mansion (White House) and the US Capitol.

With a proud history of spreading fraternity, brotherly love and charity, Federal has almost 200 members located here in the nation’s capital and all over the world.
